Scientists warn of airborne coronavirus spread

Scientists have been debating how the coronavirus spreads since the pandemic began. Those conversations have deepened recently as some experts argue that aerosols may play a bigger role in the virus' transmission than previously thought. CBS News chief medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook spoke with aerosol scientists Linsey Marr and Kim Prather about how the virus travels through the air and how to best protect yourself against it. from Health - CBSNews.com https://ift.tt/3cJCXEw

Stressed and Frustrated

I just feel the need to vent. I joined WW in October 2019, and was having pretty good success. I lost 14 pounds before COVID-19 hit. I found myself baking to curb my stress levels, and now I'm back to where I started a year ago. I'm a full-time online college student, and school combined with COVID-19 means I'm constantly stressed. I keep trying not to snack when I'm stressed, and bought lower-point foods, but I either stay at my current weight or gain a little every week. I want to feel comfortable in my skin again, but staying disciplined about food is so hard right now. (Blue) Points Friendly Meal Kit Services

Hello friends! Spouse and I are about to enter a very busy month or two at our jobs and we decided to sign up for Hello Fresh (I had a coupon!) I was surprised to find that the calorie-friendly option had meals that are in the 15-17 point range, which is a lot for me. Has anyone found a point friendlier service? Or, if you have done Hello Fresh, do you have point-friendly Hello Fresh meal recommendations so I can make strategic swaps? I'm doing Blue and this is my first time trying a meal service/kit. Find physical activity you like!

I can't stress this enough. Yes it's possible to lose weight from diet alone but it's so much easier/faster if you're also getting some exercise. I struggled with losing for months. I was working out a couple times a week, lifting weights and light cardio at the gym. I liked it but with work and family obligations I could only get there 3x per week at most. Lifting weights makes me super hungry so I was having a hard time sticking to plan, gaining and losing the same 7lb for 5 months. I was only 10-15lb to goal so this was super frustrating. When COVID shutdowns happened I stopped going and eventually canceled my membership. I did nothing for months and felt like crap. I tried to go for walks but with 2 little kids and no daycare it was hard. Walking with them is at a snail's pace and they can't go far. Walking alone meant I had to do it when my husband was available to watch them. I finally decided to buy an exercise bike for my house. Now, riding a stationa

Scale broken or just in shock?

I've been out of town for a week on vacation and then last week was settling back down. I was 203.4 the day before we left. I did not track the week on vacation nor the week after. I enjoyed myself and ate what I wanted. Anyway! I got back on track this week but I've been constipated, and I won't weigh if I don't have a BM in the morning. Took a stool softener yesterday, and this morning had a decent BM and weighed. It was 199.4. I was like how did I lose weight after cheating for two weeks? I made my husband weigh and his was normal, and then I weighed again. Now it says 200.2. I get off and get on again. Now it's 200.00. I say screw it and get in the shower, then after I dried off I weighed again at 200.00. I'm not sure what to think. I went ahead and changed the batteries in the scale before I went to work, but I'd already had my morning water and meds, so I didn't weigh again. I'll check it again in the morning. But I guess I'm just not su

WW giving me double activity points for my linked Garmin steps?

I'm new to WW and have linked my Garmin watch to it for activity tracking. It seems like it always gives me double points for my activities. Today I woke up and first thing I went on a 30 minute walk and earned 6 points. In my activity last however, I have those 6 points, plus another 3 points for "Garmin steps" even though I've only walked an additional 200 or so steps since then. I expect to get additional points for steps I take throughout the day, but why is it giving me those extra 3 points? Shouldn't they be included in the 6 I got for my walk? I've looked back at the last three weeks. I do a walk every day and 4 days a week I run. It looks like I always earn an additional 1-8 points for "garmin steps" above that, with an average of about 4 points a day. submitted by /u/sbgriffin [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/33dpwd4

How much do you trust the fit points?

I have a fitbit which is synced to my WW app but I just feel like the points it gives me is too much? For reference, I am a female just shy of 6 foot weighing at 160 and if I walk for about 30 minutes at 3mph it will give me 4 fitpoints.
