Question about calculating points

Hi, first day on WW! I am cooking a Sun Basket meal and I put in all of the caloric information (it’s awesome that they tell you everything right there — calories, fiber, protein, sugar and all). It comes out to 13 points but my question is this: since I was cooking with zero point chicken and the caloric values don’t account for that or for the veggies should I lower the point value a bit? Or is that a bit like cheating :) submitted by /u/Kewlzie [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/2YQAimV

General TSO?

I’m obsessed with the stuff. Well, I WAS. I’d like to replicate it (or at least something similar). Has anyone made a good dish that’s similar and not too many points? I don’t want anything fried, but I’d love a very similar flavor for some chicken breast. I’ve seen some recipes online, but I’m not that great at cooking so I figured I’d ask here before I started experimenting to see if anyone has tried it before. Any tips would be appreciated. Question on Coaching? Need Advice

Hi, Four years ago I had a ton of success with weight watchers and lost 30 pounds. I have gained 25 of it back and although tried to restart WW just didn’t stick with it. I really feel like I need a serious accountability partner. Is that what coaching provides? Like someone you have to check in with and say I shouldn’t of had that third glass of wine? I only have done digital before. I tried one meeting and it was so not me it felt uncomfortable like I know cheese sauce has calories, thanks. So is coaching worth it and finally help me back on track? submitted by /u/aesimatix [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/3gIJXlt

Weight Watchers and a Smoker

So I love using my smoker, however, most of the things I used to make would be very high on the points scale. Does anyone have some good smoker recipes that keep the points low for beef, chicken, or pork? Thinking about starting WW.. how does it work?

Thinking about starting weight watchers but I’m seriously confused as to how it works? Without counting calories? I feel like you could eat up your daily points by consuming two pieces of pizza. Or you could consume too many calories by eating tons of 0 point foods. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it, and I’d love to have someone explain it to me. I know it’s possible to be successful with WW, I’m not doubting that. I work with women who have been doing it, and I’ve watched the weight just melt off of them and they say most of it is just diet from WW. Id love to start I’d just like a little more info! submitted by /u/Incrimnatinggoats_ [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/3hKxDCv

Kids eat your food?

I have tried to do weight watchers a few times during quarantine, but my biggest mental block is that my little kids have a tendency of taking my food and then I get stuck with no food left. I end up rummaging for scraps and probably end up eating way more than I should because I don’t feel like I ate my plate full. My husband says I should just eat my food at the counter while they eat at the table. That seems out of norm but not sure if I’m just using this as a mental excuse. Any moms out there dealing with this and how do you work around?? And I know it’s easiest if everyone eats the same food, but I’m the type that meal preps and can eat the same thing 4 days in a row and no one else in my family is like that, so it gets complicated and never works out (believe me, I’ve tried) submitted by /u/IMissSleepingIn [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/3juMeTo

Bad habit to break

I lost about 10lbs last September on ww right before it switched over to either blue, green, or purple. Then I found out I was pregnant. Woo!! Now baby girl is almost 2 months and I’ve been doing ww (blue plan) for a week or so. I lost 1.5 lbs! It’s been challenging to cook healthy meals and eat mostly 0 point foods when sitting home with an infant all day. I get bored easily and end up snacking on non-zero foods. I also “rewarded” myself with pizza the other night because I didn’t feel like cooking and my husband said he’d get pizza on his way home from work. Then the next night my in-laws came over and we bbq’d. Then I sat home all day today with a sleeping baby and just ate leftovers all day and didn’t track. I’m scared that the little progress I made is all gone because I have no self control. Ok, rant over. submitted by /u/Jennanicolel [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/3hHE2P0

Today I tracked all my foods and had a blue dot day!

This hasn't happened in....a year probably. I never gave up and today I feel like I can do anything. Not only did I have a blue dot day but I have 1 point leftover...LEFTOVER! This is just the beginning, folks. submitted by /u/123papaya [link] [comments] from Wellness that Works. https://ift.tt/3lvOMCj
